This may be the case if there is not much jawbone to work with or a nerve runs in close proximity to the roots of the teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In situations like this, the implantation can be planned in advance on the screen with the aid of a computer \u2013 including the exact position and size of the implants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The crucial point: 3D planning is safer for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The advantages of 3D implant planning:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-kolling-arrows\">\n<li>More precise assessment and therefore more comprehensive protection of sensitive areas of the jaw (e.g. nerve pathways) is possible.<\/li>\n<li>It may be possible to avoid any bone reconstruction that may be required, since better use is made of the existing bone.<\/li>\n<li>The appearance and exact alignment of the dental prosthesis (such as a crown) can be determined before the procedure is carried out &#8211; an approach that is based on the desired result and has advantages for the aesthetics of the teeth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How 3D planning works:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-kolling-arrows\">\n<li>1. Individual cross-sectional images of your jaw are created using modern three-dimensional X-ray technology.<\/li>\n<li>2. These individual images are combined by software to create a complete image. Your jaw is then displayed on the screen as a three-dimensional image. We can rotate it, examine it from all sides and enlarge it as much as we like.<\/li>\n<li>3.
